Never yield to the temptation to “cheap out” when buying filters. Buy known brands such as B+W, TIFFEN, HOYA, SINGH-RAY, HELIOPAN. I am currently using a TIFFEN polarizer I bought 35 years ago.
In fact, don’t be tempted to “cheap out” when buying any camera accessories. This is especially true of tripods as well as filters.

There are only a few filter makers. Hoya, B&W and Tiffen are three. There are other goods one out there.
Probably a filter you pay in the $35 range, will not "ruin" your photos. It is only there to protect the front element of your lens. Make sure it is Super Multi-coated.
