How do you adjust the apeture on a Nikon D40?

Hi, I just bought a new Nikon D40 SLR camera on eBay, but it didn't come with a manual, and I don't know how to adjust the apeture (if that's how you spell it) on it. I was just wondering how to adjust it? Thanks.

There are two wheels in front of and in back of the shutter release.

One controls the aperture and the other the shutter speed.

Just do a search for the D40 manual on the Internet and download the file and print it.

Here is a PDF version of the manual – if you want a printable version, you need to go to http://support.nikontech.com/ and search for your camera's manual via the drop down menus. You will need to provide the camera's serial number before it will give you a printable version.
