They sell covers that are meant to protect your camera in different weather situations. I wouldnt bring it out in the rain and I would be very cautious about using it in the snow, the water will get in and damage

Keep the camera under your coat until you need to use it, then drape it over the camera and lens when you are shooting.

There are camera "rain coats" available … sports and wildlife photographers use them.

I’m too cheap to buy something. I get a new plastic garbage bag, poke a little hole in the end and slide my lens hood into the hole. I then add a little tape to hold the bag to the lens hood.

Keeps it dry – also big enough that I can poke my head in there, too.
