My Nikon D40 SLR camera got wet while i was taking some pictures in the rain..there was not much rain and i did’nt think it would effect it. i recharge battery and it keeps telling me to recharge because it says its dead..bought new battery and still same problem. it will take a few pictures before it disables itself..and when put in the freshly recharged battery the bat indicator says empty. i can still use all the features for a long time and it dosent shut off. it just says shutter disabled and recharge. please help
